I just updated to the latest version via the Mac App Store. I suppose something else could be happening simultaneously that makes it just appear to be the Welcome window causing the problems. Sometimes the entire contents of the Welcome window seem to load other times it crashes as soon as the window spawns. But then the "Welcome to Skitch" window pops up, and the app crashes.
However, when I moved to the App Store version - mostly to be able to more easily integrate with Evernote - the problems started immediately, and I've not been able to use the app since.īasically, Skitch opens as expected, showing the image I last skitched, for a second or less. It had become an integral part of my workflow. I've been a paying user of Skitch for years (from back when a donation didn't get you anything but a warm fuzzy feeling, all the way through "Skitch Premium") and never had a problem with it.
